This year, Oper Leipzig took many steps forward when it comes to sustainable actions. With their project Sustainable Costumes, Recipient of the FEDORA Next Stage Grants 2022, and their newest sustainable stage design for their production Majesty & Madness, Oper Leipzig is on the right path to becoming a greener opera house. Have a look at their dedicated website page on sustainability here.
Moreover, Oper Leipzig had another project this year, regarding inclusion, and more specifically, inclusion of the blind and visually-impaired people. They created a live audio-description of their newest production Anatevka preceded by a guided tour of the Musikalischen Komödie with a "Tastparcour", an itinerary with different surfaces and objects that the audience can feel and touch on their way.
Last but not least, Oper Leipzig created a podcast called Digital Introduction (Digitale Audioeinführungen) to introduce their audience to their upcoming productions and give some anecdotes on how these came into being. Discover the podcast here.
